- 1 cup (235ml) whole milk, at room temperature
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before serving.
