Description

A comforting meatloaf infused with the rich flavors of French onion soup and topped with melted Swiss cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, and onion soup mix. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the crockpot.
  3. Cook on low for 360 minutes or on high for 240 minutes.
  4. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, place slices of Swiss cheese on top and cover to let melt.
  5. Once cooked, remove from the crockpot, slice, and serve.

Notes

For added flavor, mix in chopped onions or garlic. You can use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
