Ingredients

- 2 whole red snapper (cleaned, scaled, and scored) or 4 fillets
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the red snapper, making sure to get it into the scored cuts.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Carefully place the red snapper in the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
Make sure the oil is hot enough before adding the fish to achieve a crispy texture. Don’t overcrowd the pan; fry in batches if necessary.
