Ingredients

  • 2 whole red snapper (cleaned, scaled, and scored) or 4 fillets
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the red snapper, making sure to get it into the scored cuts.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Carefully place the red snapper in the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
