Description
A hearty meal featuring tender steak and a creamy, spicy sauce combined with pasta for a satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 12 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or linguine)
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella (for extra cheesiness)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak pieces with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 2 minutes, then stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Whisk until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta and steak back into the skillet. Toss everything together until fully coated in the spicy, creamy, cheesy sauce.
- Plate it up and garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a little more Parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a veggie boost, add some spinach or cherry tomatoes to the pasta before serving. Adjust the spice level as per your taste.
