Description
A delightful dish combining earthy mushrooms with rich flavors of garlic and parmesan cheese, perfect as a side or main course.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz whole button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Stir in the heavy cream, parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Let the mixture simmer until it thickens slightly, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add the whole mushrooms to the skillet, stirring to ensure they are evenly coated in the creamy sauce.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the sauce is bubbling.
- Once done, garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Make sure to clean the mushrooms properly but avoid soaking them in water. Adjust the garlic amount to your taste, and feel free to add sautéed onions or fresh herbs for extra flavor.
