Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or beef/pork mix)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine meatball ingredients and form them into 1-inch balls.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear meatballs on all sides until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, cook sliced peppers, onion, and minced garlic until tender.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, beef broth, and Dijon mustard. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10–12 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Meatball consistency matters; avoid overmixing for tenderness. For spice, add red pepper flakes. Consider topping with grated Parmesan cheese.
