Ingredients

- 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb (450g) crab meat (fresh or canned)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cups seafood or fish stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened and translucent.
- Add the shrimp and crab meat to the pot and cook until the shrimp turn pink.
- Pour in the seafood stock and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes and consider blending part of the soup for a thicker texture.
