Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs beef stew meat or sirloin tips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet. Add the beef tips and brown them on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced onions and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Sprinkle the flour over the cooked vegetables and stir for about 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Return the browned beef to the skillet. Cover and let it simmer for 45–60 minutes until the beef is tender.
- Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer uncovered for an additional 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving hot!
Notes
Choose good quality beef for better results. Let beef sit at room temperature before cooking for improved browning.
