  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Remove excess grease if necessary.
  4. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Let the mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until it melts into the sauce, creating a creamy texture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken, lean ground meat, and substitute half of the heavy cream with milk.
