Description
A comforting dish that combines ground beef with creamy sauce and bowtie pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Remove excess grease if necessary.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
- Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Let the mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until it melts into the sauce, creating a creamy texture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken, lean ground meat, and substitute half of the heavy cream with milk.
