- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract, mashed bananas, and sour cream until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread the cream cheese filling over the top, then pour the remaining batter on top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Store wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil at room temperature for up to 3 days. Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
