Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
- 2 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup crab meat
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and celery, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the seafood stock and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, crab meat, and shrimp. Cook until the shrimp is pink and cooked through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a thicker bisque, blend part of it before adding the shrimp and crab. Use homemade seafood stock for enhanced flavor.
