- 12 oz spaghetti
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 1⁄2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions; then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add minced garlic, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Toss in the cooked spaghetti and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir well to combine.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese, crispy bacon, and chopped green onions on top.
- Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes or jalapeños. You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter option.
