Description

A traditional Puerto Rican drink that combines coconut and rum in a creamy and festive beverage, perfect for the holiday season or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (15 oz) cream of coconut
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Nutmeg (optional)
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional)
  • Dark rum (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender or large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, cream of coconut, coconut milk, and vanilla extract.
  2. Blend the mixture on medium speed for 30-60 seconds until smooth. If mixing by hand, whisk together until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a bottle or airtight container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill. For best flavor, let it chill overnight.
  4. Before serving, shake the bottle well.
  5. Serve over ice in glasses and enjoy. Optionally, add a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or nutmeg, a cinnamon stick for stirring, or a splash of dark rum.

Notes

For a creamier texture, use full-fat coconut milk. Adjust sweetness by modifying the amount of sweetened condensed milk to taste.
