A delightful twist on two popular treats: cheesecake and fried Oreos, with a creamy filling and crispy exterior.

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed Oreos
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 12 Oreo cookies
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Additional crushed Oreos, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Prepare the cheesecake filling by beating the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined, then gently fold in crushed Oreos.
- Assemble the Oreo sandwiches by placing a dollop of the cheesecake filling on top of each Oreo cookie, pressing another Oreo on top to create a sandwich. Repeat with remaining Oreos.
- Prepare the coating by whisking flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, whisk egg and milk until well combined.
- Dip each Oreo sandwich first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture to coat thoroughly.
- Fry the Oreos in hot vegetable oil at 350°F (175°C) for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towel-lined plate.
- Dust with powdered sugar and sprinkle with additional crushed Oreos. Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
For best results, ensure cream cheese is softened and do not overcrowd the frying pot.
