Description

Delicious Cookies & Cream Cookies made with chunks of Oreos and mini chocolate chips for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 Oreos, broken into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Turn the mixer to low speed and gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl to mix everything well.
  5. Fold in the broken Oreos and mini chocolate chips with a spatula.
  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  8. After chilling, scoop heaping 1 1/2 tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving at least 2 inches between each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
  10. Let the cookies cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

Ensure your butter and cream cheese are softened to room temperature for the best mixing results. Don’t skip the chilling step; it helps the cookies maintain their shape while baking.
