Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup brewed coffee (chilled)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, chilled brewed coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker, churning it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. When nearly done churning, sprinkle in the finely chopped dark chocolate pieces.
  4. Transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.

Notes

For a bolder coffee flavor, use strong coffee or espresso. Experiment with different types of chocolate flakes like milk chocolate or white chocolate.
