Description

A delicious homemade coffee ice cream featuring rich coffee flavor and crunchy dark chocolate flecks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup brewed coffee (chilled)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, chilled brewed coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker, churning according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. When churning is almost finished, sprinkle in finely chopped dark chocolate pieces.
  4. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours to firm up.

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, use a strong brew or espresso. Chill the mixture in the fridge before churning for a creamier texture.
