A delightful homemade coffee ice cream with specks of dark chocolate, perfect for coffee lovers.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup brewed coffee (chilled)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, chilled brewed coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk everything until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. When almost done churning, sprinkle in the finely chopped dark chocolate pieces.
  4. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso. If you lack an ice cream maker, freeze the mixture in a shallow dish, stirring every 30 minutes until desired consistency is achieved.
