Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced green bell pepper to the pot. Sauté for 4-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Add the elbow macaroni to the pot. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover with a lid.
  5. Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  6. If desired, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese just before serving for a creamy finish. Serve hot and enjoy!
