Description

Delightful homemade candy combining sweetness with warm cinnamon spice, perfect for sharing or gifting.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon oil

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Have a candy thermometer handy.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir over medium heat until dissolved.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring. Cook until it reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and carefully stir in cinnamon oil.
  5. Pour the hot candy onto the baking sheet and let it spread naturally or use a spoon.
  6. Allow to cool completely for 30 minutes to an hour.
  7. Break into pieces or shards and store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Notes

Be cautious with hot sugar and use a candy thermometer for best results.
