Chocolate and Vanilla Dream Cake

Description

A delightful two-layer cake combining rich chocolate and sweet vanilla, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g of sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 120 ml of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 360g flour, divided
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 120 ml of milk
  • 200g dark chocolate, melted
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped (for the glaze)
  • 200 ml of cream (for the glaze)
  • 50g softened butter (for the glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease two round molds.
  2. In a bowl, beat together the sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix 180g of flour with baking powder. Gradually combine it with the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  4. Divide the dough evenly between the prepared molds.
  5. Take the melted chocolate and mix it with the remaining flour (180g). Swirl this mixture into the vanilla dough in the molds.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely.
  7. For the glaze, heat the cream gently, then pour it over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 5 minutes before beating until smooth. Add the softened butter and mix well.
  8. Assemble the cake by layering the two cake halves with frosting in between, and then glaze the entire cake. Enjoy!
