Description

A rich and creamy dessert combining chocolate, pecans, and whipped cream in a layered treat that’s perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate pudding
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding
  • 1 container Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the chopped pecans with the melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to form the crust.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes until it is set and golden. Allow the crust to cool.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread this cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
  5. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package instructions, then spread it over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Next, prepare the vanilla pudding according to package instructions and spread it over the chocolate pudding.
  7. Finally, top the dessert with Cool Whip. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps. Can be prepped a day in advance for better flavor.
