- 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 package (3.9 oz) chocolate pudding mix
- 1 package (3.4 oz) vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups milk
- 1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pecans and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan to form the crust. Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden. Allow the crust to cool.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread this mixture over the cooled crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together the chocolate and vanilla pudding mixes with the milk until thickened. Pour this over the cream cheese layer.
- Finally, top with Cool Whip. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Use freshly chopped pecans and ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth texture. Leftovers can be stored for up to three days.
