- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, melted butter, 1/2 cup peanut butter, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and spread evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, remaining 1/2 cup peanut butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the chocolate batter. Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the chocolate layer, creating a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until edges are set but center remains slightly gooey. Allow to cool completely in the pan before serving.
Notes
For an extra treat, serve with vanilla ice cream or chocolate syrup. Ensure cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for smoother batter.
