  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and spread evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, remaining 1/2 cup of peanut butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the chocolate batter and swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

For added texture, consider adding chocolate chips or crushed peanuts on top of the cream cheese swirl. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle chocolate syrup for an extra treat.
