Description
A delicious and healthy dessert made with ripe bananas, peanut butter, and cocoa, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2–3 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, or sliced bananas
Instructions
- In a food processor or high-speed blender, combine the frozen banana slices, peanut butter, cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of almond milk or any milk of your choice to help blend.
- Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or maple syrup if desired.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and smooth the top. Freeze for at least 2-3 hours until firm.
- Once frozen, scoop out the ice cream and serve in bowls. Top with chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, or sliced bananas if desired.
Notes
Store leftover ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week. Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
