Deliciously moist chocolate cupcakes filled with a citrusy orange ganache, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 150g all-purpose flour
- 150g sugar
- 150g unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3 large eggs
- 40g cocoa powder
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons milk
- Zest of 1 orange
- 50ml orange juice
- 100g dark chocolate, chopped
- 100ml heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- Orange slices for decoration
- Chocolate hearts for decoration
- Orange glaze for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Beat the butter and sugar together until soft and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Incorporate cocoa powder, orange zest, and orange juice into the mixture.
- Sift together flour and baking powder; add along with milk, stirring until well combined.
- Pour the batter into cupcake molds and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- For the orange ganache filling, heat the cream and pour it over the chopped chocolate.
- Add orange zest and orange juice, mixing until smooth.
- Once cupcakes are cool, make a hole in each and fill with the orange ganache.
- Cover tops with orange glaze and decorate with orange slices and chocolate hearts.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for up to a week.
