Description

Delicious chocolate cupcakes filled with creamy orange ganache, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 150g flour
  • 150g sugar
  • 150g unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3 eggs
  • 40g cocoa powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 50ml orange juice
  • 100g black chocolate
  • 100ml cream
  • Zest of 1 orange (for ganache)
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice (for ganache)
  • Orange slices (for decoration)
  • Chocolate hearts (for decoration)
  • Orange glaze (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Beat the butter and sugar together until soft and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the cocoa powder, orange zest, and orange juice.
  5. Sift the flour and baking powder, then add them to the mixture along with the milk.
  6. Pour the mixture into cupcake molds and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  7. For the ganache, heat the cream and pour it over the chopped chocolate.
  8. Mix in the orange zest and orange juice until the ganache is smooth.
  9. Make a hole in the center of each cupcake and fill it with the orange ganache.
  10. Cover the cupcakes with orange glaze and decorate them with orange slices and chocolate hearts.

Notes

Best served fresh; can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, or up to a week in the fridge.
