- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1 cup orange marmalade
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup dark chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, vanilla extract, and orange zest.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until fully combined.
- Pour the batter into your prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the cakes to cool completely.
- To assemble, spread orange marmalade and whipped cream between the cake layers.
- For the ganache glaze, pour melted chocolate over the top of the cake.
- Decorate with orange slices before serving, and enjoy!
Notes
Store at room temperature for up to two days or in the fridge for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
