- 2 cups (about 200g) Oreo cookies, crushed (filling included)
- 5 tbsp (70g) unsalted butter, melted
- 200g (7oz) dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 cups (480ml) heavy cream, chilled
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream (for topping)
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar (for topping)
- Chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or crushed Oreos (for garnish)
Instructions
- Make the Oreo Base: Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and mix them with the melted butter. Press this mixture into a 9-inch springform pan and refrigerate it.
- Prepare the Chocolate Mousse: Melt the dark chocolate and let it cool slightly. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold in the melted chocolate.
- Assemble the Cake: Spread the mousse over the chilled Oreo base. Refrigerate for 4-6 hours to allow it to set.
- Add the Topping: Whip the additional heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Spread this topping over the mousse and garnish with chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or crushed Oreos.
- Serve and Enjoy: Remove the springform pan, slice the cake, and serve.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a twist, add a layer of fruit, like raspberries or strawberries, for added flavor.
