Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150g butter
  • 150g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 100g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 200ml cream
  • 50g cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until fluffy.
  4. Mix the melted chocolate into the egg mixture.
  5. Fold in the flour, baking powder, and half of the chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Once baked, let the cake cool completely.
  8. In a saucepan, heat the cream and cocoa powder, stirring until smooth.
  9. Pour the chocolate cream over the cooled cake.
  10. Sprinkle the remaining chopped hazelnuts on top.
  11. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
