Ingredients

  • 200g wheat flour
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 200g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 240ml milk
  • 120ml vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the egg mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
