  • 23 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate (for decoration)
  • Parchment paper or a piping bag

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until well incorporated, then gradually mix in the hot coffee (the batter will be runny).
  4. Distribute the batter evenly between the pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Allow cakes to cool completely before assembling.
  5. Whip together butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla until creamy and airy.
  6. Spread frosting between the cake layers and cover the entire cake with a smooth layer of frosting.
