Description
A rich and indulgent dessert with fudgy brownie layers and smooth ganache topping, perfect for any chocolate lover.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Mix in granulated sugar until blended.
- Add the eggs one at a time, stirring after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely in the pan.
- For ganache topping, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it simmers. Pour hot cream over chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl, let sit for 2–3 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the cooled brownie cake, spreading it evenly. Allow it to set at room temperature or refrigerate.
- Slice the cake and serve plain or with toppings like whipped cream or fresh berries.
