Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup icing sugar (powdered sugar)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate (melted)
- 1/2 cup cream (warm)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add the softened butter. Sift in the icing sugar and cocoa powder. Whip the mixture on high speed until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
- Warm the cream slightly and mix it into the frosting mixture until smooth.
- Melt the chocolate and let it cool slightly. Add it to the frosting mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Refrigerate the frosting for 30–40 minutes to thicken into a spreadable consistency.
Notes
Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
