Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined—be careful not to overmix.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the donuts are set and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
- Dip each warm donut into the glaze, letting any excess drip off, then set aside to let the glaze firm up.
