Description

A layered dessert featuring a tasty crust, smooth cream cheese, rich chocolate pudding, and fluffy whipped topping. Perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  • 2 (3.9 oz) boxes instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 2 cups whipped topping (for topping)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, melted butter, and pecans together. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes, then allow it to cool completely.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping, then spread this mixture over the cooled crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until it thickens. Spread this mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Evenly spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  6. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 120 minutes before serving. Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding sliced bananas or strawberries between layers.
