Description
Delightful turnovers filled with warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie dough wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 egg, for egg wash
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, then mix in the flour and salt until a dough forms.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips and set aside.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into four equal squares.
- Place a generous tablespoon of the cookie dough mixture into the center of each puff pastry square.
- Fold each square into a triangle and press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Beat the egg and brush over the top of each turnover for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Once baked and slightly cooled, drizzle melted chocolate over the top.
Notes
These turnovers are best served warm. Can be paired with vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
