Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs or chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 4 packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • Mini chocolate chips for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cookie Dough: In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir in milk and vanilla extract. Mix in flour, salt, and mini chocolate chips. Roll into small balls and freeze.
  2. Prepare the Crust: Grease the bottom and sides of a 10-inch springform pan. Mix melted butter with graham cracker crumbs and press onto the bottom and halfway up the sides of the pan.
  3. Make the Cheesecake Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and flour until smooth. Add vanilla extract and sour cream. Pour half of the batter into the crust, mix cookie dough balls with remaining batter, and pour into the pan.
  4. Bake: Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 60 minutes, then cool in the oven for 30 minutes. Refrigerate until chilled.
  5. Whipped Cream Garnish: Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  6. Serve: Slice the cheesecake, top with whipped cream and mini chocolate chips.

Notes

Soften cream cheese to room temperature for best results. Don’t skip the freezing step for the cookie dough. Test for doneness by ensuring edges are set while the center jiggles slightly.
