Description

A delightful dessert that combines the best features of a classic chocolate chip cookie with the soft and fluffy texture of a cake.


Ingredients

  • 150g melted butter
  • 150g brown sugar
  • 50g white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp liquid vanilla
  • 250g wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 200g chocolate chips
  • Extra chocolate chips for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for decoration.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. It pairs well with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or chocolate/caramel drizzle. Can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
