- 150g melted butter
- 150g brown sugar
- 50g white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp liquid vanilla
- 250g wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 200g chocolate chips
- Extra chocolate chips for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for decoration.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. It pairs well with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or chocolate/caramel drizzle. Can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
