Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat melted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar on low until smooth.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla, then increase the speed to medium until fully combined.
- Add baking soda and salt, then gradually add flour until the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles.
- Scoop 2 tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined cookie sheet and chill for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line another cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Space chilled dough balls 2 inches apart on the prepared sheets.
- Bake for 11–15 minutes until the edges are golden and the tops are no longer glossy.
- Cool the cookies on the sheet for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
Keep cookies fresh in an airtight container at room temperature. Best enjoyed within a week.
