- 18 Oreo cookies (crushed)
- 4 tablespoons salted butter (melted)
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
- 32 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs (room temperature)
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate (chopped)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- Optional Garnishes: Whipped chocolate ganache, strawberries, raspberries, chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C) and prepare a water bath with a large roasting pan.
- Crush the Oreo cookies and combine them with the melted butter. Press the mixture into a springform pan to form a crust.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes and allow it to cool.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and set it aside.
- In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese and sugar. Add the sour cream, flour, and vanilla, mixing until everything is combined.
- Add the melted chocolate and eggs, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top.
- Set the springform pan in the water bath and bake for 60-70 minutes.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
- Cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- For the ganache, combine the bittersweet chocolate and heavy cream. Heat and stir until smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the cheesecake, garnish if desired, and let it set in the fridge.
- Slice and serve, enjoying every indulgent bite!
Notes
Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature for a smoother batter. Let the cheesecake cool gradually to avoid cracks.
