Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Be careful not to over-mix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cupcakes to cool before serving.

Notes

For serving, add whipped cream or chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
