Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Be careful not to over-mix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool before serving.
Notes
For serving, add whipped cream or chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
