A delightful chocolate cake layered with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, perfect for any celebration.

- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar (200 g)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (60 g)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil (125 ml)
- 1 cup milk (250 ml)
- 2 cups flour (300 g)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (13 g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fresh strawberries
- Whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add cocoa powder, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, layer the cakes with whipped cream and fresh strawberries in between, and top with more strawberries and whipped cream as desired.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for best results. Store leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
