- 1/2 cup sugar (for the cream)
- 1 1/2 cups cow’s milk

Instructions
- Melt 1/2 stick of butter and let it cool.
- In a bain-marie, melt the 2 bars of semi-sweet chocolate.
- Separate the egg whites and yolks of the 8 eggs.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the sugar and egg yolks until lemon-colored, about 5 minutes.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff and gently fold them into the yolk and sugar mixture.
- Add the cooled butter, sifted flour, and melted chocolate to the egg mixture. Mix gently until well combined.
- Grease and flour three round cake molds, then evenly spread the cake batter among them.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.

- For the cream, beat 5 egg yolks with 1/2 cup sugar. Add cornstarch and chocolate dissolved in 1 1/2 cups milk.
- Stir the mixture on the stove with a whisk until thickened, then cover with plastic wrap.
- To assemble, place one layer on a plate, spread cream on top, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Repeat with the next layer.
- Cover the entire cake with the remaining cream and decorate with whole walnuts.
Notes
