- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt or round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, mix together the eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients until well mixed.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
- Spoon in the sweetened condensed milk and sprinkle with shredded coconut if you choose to use it.
- Top with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- To make the chocolate glaze, heat the heavy cream until just simmering, pour it over the dark chocolate chips, and stir until smooth.
- Drizzle the chocolate glaze over the cooled cake.
Notes
Serve plain or with a scoop of ice cream; can also add fresh fruits like strawberries or raspberries.
