Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Sift in the unsweetened cocoa powder and Dutch-processed cocoa powder, then add the salt and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 360 minutes or until solid.
  5. Before serving, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften.
  6. Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy, optionally topping with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, or fresh fruit.
