Description

A rich and delightful ice cream combining smooth chocolate with crunchy nuts and a tempting fudge swirl.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (toasted, if desired)
  • 1/2 cup fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, cocoa powder, melted chocolate, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  2. Cover the bowl and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  3. Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn for 20–25 minutes until a soft-serve consistency forms.
  4. During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the chopped nuts to incorporate a delightful crunch.
  5. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container, swirl in the fudge sauce or drizzle on top, and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
  6. Scoop into bowls, drizzle extra fudge sauce if desired, and savor your decadent, nutty chocolate masterpiece!

Notes

For best texture, chill the mixture for at least 2 hours. Toasting the nuts adds extra flavor.
