Description

A delicious and satisfying meal featuring marinated chicken, fresh veggies, and a creamy yogurt-tahini sauce wrapped in warm pita bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads or flatbreads
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper. Add chicken strips and toss to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours).
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Warm the pita bread, then layer with lettuce, cooked chicken, cherry tomatoes, red onion, and parsley. Drizzle with the yogurt-tahini sauce.
  5. Fold or roll the wrap and enjoy immediately!

Notes

For optimal flavor, allow the chicken to marinate longer. Customize with your favorite toppings.
