Delightful homemade nougat bars with chewy textures and a mix of nuts and dried fruits.
Ingredients

- 2 cups white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate)
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup mixed dried fruits (such as dried apricots, cherries, pineapple, and papaya)
- 1 cup mixed nuts (such as almonds, pistachios, and cashews)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
- In a large saucepan over low heat, combine white chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir continuously until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Fold in mixed dried fruits and nuts until evenly distributed.
- Pour the nougat mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly, and press down firmly to create an even layer.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
- Once set, lift nougat out using the parchment paper overhang and cut into bars or squares.
Notes
Serve with coffee or tea. Can be packaged as gifts.
